Joy of Dance Weather Policy

Joy of Dance serves schools in several counties in Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Should inclement weather begin prior to the start of school hours, Joy of Dance will follow the procedures practiced by the school system for each county (i.e. delayed openings, cancellations).  Likewise, if inclement weather begins during the course of the school day, Joy of Dance will defer to the decisions made by public school systems (i.e. early release, afternoon activities cancelled).

As winter weather systems can change suddenly or sometimes be quite localized, Joy of Dance will monitor all weather situations throughout the course of the day and update our weather page accordingly.  If it is found that side roads, as well as main roads are clear, and our instructors are able to safely travel to their assigned schools every effort will be made to conduct normally scheduled classes.
